Lucio Battisti Don Giovanni

Guys, between "Don Giovanni" and "Nostalgia canaglia" there are galaxies... galaxies... I'm crazy about the Battistiano period that goes from "Don Giovanni" to "Hegel," with a special love for "L'apparenza" and "La sposa occidentale"...

Without making comparisons to other albums, I can say that this one truly deserves a 5; it's really amazing, and for me, the best tracks are "Perchè no," "Al cinema," and "Nessun Dolore," the latter poorly reworked by various Italian stars... the album description is lovely...

By the way, no one has recommended "Friends" by Chick Corea to me, which is truly "tasty" :)...

For me, "L'apparenza" and "La sposa occidentale" are the two masterpieces of this artistic phase of Battisti. I disagree with the notion that "Il don giovanni" is an unsuccessful album... you consider "C.S.A.R." a masterpiece, but then you rate it 4... the description of the album is very interesting...

better late than never... I'm arriving late, however I'm sharing my thoughts, it's an OUTSTANDING album, all the tracks are moving and musically inspired, especially "Scirocco" and "Keaton"... the lyrics are so beautiful and well-written that they manage to create "little worlds"...

I thank everyone for the suggestions, some artists I already know quite well, while many others are unfamiliar to me; it will take me some time to find them, but I will do it... in the meantime, I'm listening to "Michael Manring, Unusual Weather"... and I'm enjoying it "a lot," as we say around here :)...

I listened to the album, and I find that there are interesting "melodies," with excellent guitar... the vocals leave me perplexed for two reasons: sometimes it sounds like Bon Jovi, in other tracks it resembles AOR, and frankly, the result seems too dated (speaking still of the vocals)... nevertheless, I consider it a good album... I won't rate it because I've listened to it too little...
