Erik Satie - Alessandra Celletti (piano) Esoterik Satie

I share with Qzerty: the three Gymnopédies are beautiful. But so are the Six Gnossiennes. And Celletti plays them in a sublime way. However, I don’t know Mauro Masala: this interpretation is missing from my collection dedicated to Satie. You always learn new things in here...

The review is well written, but a bit too short, don’t you think?

You're right, Grasshopper... I could have written something more. But I’m new and it was my first review... I didn't manage the length of the article. But we’ll have a chance to talk about the great Satie... and also about this beautiful interpretation by Alessandra Celletti. If you don't know this CD and you like Satie, I really recommend it.

Yes. I too prefer more "reflective" music to ragtime... If you like Satie, you should also really enjoy Gurdjieff. I looked to see if you had written any reviews... but I didn't find any. Yesterday, I wrote a review on a CD by Laurie Anderson that I adore. I hope it will be published soon.

What is the mini-label site? And what are the other titles that ā€œdon't catch youā€?

Hi Gabbox, I would have really liked to read your review, and I'm glad to hear that you share my impressions. I hadn't thought about the sensuality aspect, but I believe you're right, and Celletti's way of playing is captivating for this reason as well. It would have been a nice title, Erotik Satie. Yes: and then we should talk about Satie's connection to the Dada movement, his relationships with Duchamp, and his provocations... Such an interesting character.
