I quote comment 5. I belong to the second category, but the fact that they included some unreleased tracks among acoustic revisits of pieces they've already done... it's a bit fishy to me... when bands do this... it's often because they're going out of steam... but I hope I'm wrong. I've seen something on YouTube, well, it left me a bit perplexed; Takk was already way inferior to the previous two masterpieces... but I will give a definitive judgment when I've listened to the tracks...

Anyway, enough with reviews of In Rainbows... time will give a better judgment than what can be made with just a few listens... there’s really so much more out there that could be reviewed.

And anyway, neither Radiohead nor Pink Floyd have ever made "Stadium Rock"... the relationship between filling stadiums and making stadium rock is not consequential... if they filled and fill stadiums, it doesn't necessarily mean they can be grouped with bands like Green Day, who indeed, those do make stadium rock.

a record that doesn’t amaze but wins you over... I liked it...simple, light, very well-crafted, and full of pathos...nothing exceptional, just beautiful...and I totally agree with you on the second paragraph regarding the comparison between Pink Floyd and Radiohead...but when you say that Explosions in the Sky continue the Pink Floydian thread, it gives me goosebumps. Nothing, Explosions have the psychedelia of the '70s, a completely different attitude in their use of instruments, an abyssal difference in the philosophy of conceiving music...the only thing they have in common, in my opinion, is the inner power that their music possesses...but even here, these are very distant things.

I know Park Chan-Wook for his revenge trilogy... I will definitely watch this film. Great suggestion.

We Italians have an innate ability to misjudge artistic phenomena [...] we tend to mock true talent, belittling it, and after casting aside artists with good potential, we wait for history to turn back on its tracks to reevaluate them (our times range from 30 to 200 years and beyond) "SANTE PAROLE." "[...] that traditional mentality, at times crude, that characterizes the island" I have a lot to say about this... but this is not the place. I was taken to one of her concerts by my sister, who had no one to go with; and I must say I was rather surprised by how much more she delivered live... especially during those theatrical moments between songs... really charming. Anyway, nothing exceptional, but in the desolate landscape of Italian music, people like her stand out honorably (even though there are definitely better ones out there).

the vote was for the reception, not for the album...sorry

the review is too heavy...the paragraphs are not optional, they help with readability...a piece like Venus in Furs would be enough to give this album a 5, the rest confirms it.

A friend of mine went there. As for them, what a shame... they are one of the great missed opportunities of today's rock, one of the few bands that had shown some timid signs (I'm referring in particular to Awake) of being able to innovate metal towards a prog metal worthy of the name. It's a pity they lost their way... anyway, I can't stand the voice, too beautiful for my tastes :)
