Okay, Fidia, but you use it to "read" the dynamics of the film, primarily those of Willard. Right? One thing is something a character says in the film, another is using that something to interpret the film itself. There’s a difference :-)

I didn't particularly like the review: that reference to the soldier as beast/man that would also characterize Kurtz seems reductive to me. Just as it seems that too much importance is given to Vietnam as a war and physical location, when in my opinion it primarily remains a pretext. And perhaps you get too lost in the description.. however, it is well written and at times even excellently argued. For me, it's probably my absolute favorite film, with a sequence, that of the bridge, which remains the most visually extraordinary thing I've seen in a movie. Bye!
