ugly panda your "scum" refers to the Napalm Death album that you like, I hope... anyway, matt7 didn't you like the album or just the genre?
Abysmal Torment Epoch Of Methodic Carnage

I admit this record is a bit of a drag (damn, I got confused with this one in the review of cronos), but Abysmal San know how to play, and Incised Wound Suicide is really good. You seem a bit too harsh; okay, it’s an insufficient record, but that's 90% due to the production. Anyway, respectable stance.

All true, Psychopompe... I thank both Vivis and Aniel. Morningstar, I wonder how anyone can NOT be a fan of Zorn. In any case, Vivis, I would recommend "Fear, Emptiness, Despair" if you're looking for a more mature work, but unfortunately no one considers it a essential album (released in 1994, too late). You could start with "From Enslavement to Obliteration" (still very grind) and then move on to "Harmony Corruption," which is definitely Death by now. Then there’s "Utopia Banished," another cornerstone.

great band, absolutely essential. I don't have the album but I'll get it. Nice review

morningstar, I know the painkillers, they're part of that kind of grind I still like. I see you're well-informed about it...may I ask why?

Beautiful matt7, very good. The group, like almost all prog metal ones, doesn't drive me crazy.

Cult Of Luna The Beyond

beautiful hab, as always. I "saw" Cult of Luna (actually I saw 3 or 4 Cult of Luna) three years ago but I don't remember anything due to substance abuse. I just wanted to tell you that if this recommendation of yours is of the same value as Agalloch or Minsk, I could make a declaration of love to you.

review too short to be sufficient, but at least you understand metal: useless band for a useless and poorly played record. Grind is something else

a record that reminds me of "speak english or die" by the death squad. A concise yet effective review. Above all, an excellent choice of record to review, well done.
