Well... pretazzo, it's true that Gilmour's "slide" style is unmistakable.

because it acts like people of its caliber, it slanders, and since they lack the intelligence to respond adequately, they don’t respond at all...

NUMBERNINE, the piece "Revolution 9" is clearly not a musical composition, but a "compilation" of recorded noises, I believe with a portable recorder, by John and Yoko (even though the track is credited to Lennon-McCartney). The voice that repeats "Number 9, Number 9, Number 9..." I honestly don't know whose it is either, but somewhere I think I read that it might be John or an external member of the Beatles, someone like Neil Aspinall, Derek Taylor, or George Martin...

Luca-LJ, thanks for the insight! I would have expected it, all rappers (clearly those who are only in it for the trend) are narrow-minded...

Well, they went further... just look at the legacy they left us, great songs... at the beginning, sure... trivial but always different and... then the Psychedelic era, such great creativity... so if we want to put it this way, the Stones didn’t push themselves that much... they always just followed (I say this in good faith, eh!...) in the footsteps of the Americans by making Blues, at least the Beatles, yes... they may not have created something truly new, but they evolved their style, look at albums like "Revolver," "SGT. Pepper's," "White Album," and "Abbey Road"... they always sought to go further....

It could also be that he hated doing solos, but I think the reason was that, not having done solos for 8 years, there wouldn't have been a reason to do it at that moment. Then.... those who have the DVDs/VHS of the "Anthology" will surely have heard Ringo say that due to the fans' noise, the four of them couldn't hear each other and as a result, he couldn't even do a simple drum roll for fear of putting it in a musical context that had nothing to do with it....

Guys, just because a drummer doesn't have top-notch technique doesn't mean they lack style... I think that even if Mason doesn't do solos like Ginger Baker or Ian Paice in this masterpiece, he still contributes to the sound of the album. It's obvious that Gilmour is better from a technical guitar standpoint than Barrett... in fact, as many of you already know, it was Gilmour who taught Syd a few tricks of the trade... it's just that our crazy diamond had a mind that was superior in an "hallucinogenic" sense... as he was the one who created the psychedelic sound of the Floyd. If you pay attention, in "A Saucerful Of Secrets," after Barrett's departure, the compositional spirit of the crazy diamond is still present... as well as in the following albums, such as "The Dark Side..." and especially "Wish You Were Here"....
