Beautiful!!! Beautiful!!! Beautiful!!! "Phi Alpha Omega" turned out to be "Poa," you were right Dave, it's the only album they made... In fact, the version with this title also includes the two singles they produced before the breakup. The lead singer's voice is between that of Gianni Leone and Di Palo from New Trolls. The second track (the one with the singer who has that deep voice) is my favorite. It’s a really beautiful album, the singles they did later are very much in the style of Cugini Di Campagna and Alunni Del Sole (so I like them less, but they’re still listenable...) I’d like to point out that after the breakup, Blocco Mentale reformed under a new name: the Limosine... and their style had now shifted to easy-listening POP... in fact, it was 1978...

I might have it, Manticore, I'll let you know... do I often find you here in Deb?

However, I said it has a softer sound than the previous albums.

Thank you for the vote Manticore1962 (even though this rec doesn’t deserve it...), and thank you just as much for the clarifications!!! Are you new?!
Premiata Forneria Marconi Stati di immaginazione

Stunning Rec, for a moment it felt like I was listening to and seeing this new work by the Premiata. Well, it was in the air that this new work had to come out, but that someone would even describe it in such a picturesque and sublime way… no. I’m extremely curious to see what these amazing musicians have created.

Well, I don't care at all whether there are ringtones or not, but what matters is what they have left behind in concrete terms, that is, a lot of beautiful Music.
Focus In And Out Of Focus

Great the Focus, I own a "Best". But have you heard "Hopus Focus"? Amazing!!! And "House Of The King" is full of wonderful visions and sensations!!! I haven't listened to the entire album yet, though.

You made them into something like Finley or Mattafix... and the Beatles are not like that. Since I've been listening to them, I have NEVER heard anyone whistling their songs, and I rarely hear them on the radio (excuse the pun). It's true this album is a commercial work and is barely adequate, but to say that the driver of the Smart that just passed you had "Eleanor Rigby" as their ringtone is an insult... an insult to what this band and this music have been. When I see ads for those that give you a code to buy a ringtone for your cell phone, I've never seen the Beatles there, but Eminem, Fabri Fibra, Er Piotta, Vasco Rossi, Mango, Nek, Pausini, and various MUSICAL INSIPIDITIES... so read and think carefully about what you have written.
The Beatles Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

Great Rec, but with some points that don't quite add up. Let me explain: "Arnold Layne" in my opinion has nothing of the Beatles about it, while "The Piper..." has something (not by chance the two bands were in very close studios at Abbey Road). It's true (partially) that this album gave way to certain Prog features, but it's also true that some tracks (as John said) have nothing to do with the first two pieces and the "Reprise" (so it's not a true Concept album). To sum up: "SGT Pepper's..." is a masterpiece, it’s the symbol of a great era, it has a cover that inspired many other artists (Frank Zappa is among them, even if he did it in a cheeky way), but there are tracks and albums that are a little bit better than the Fab, for example "White Album" and "Abbey Road", "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Tomorrow Never Knows"... but that doesn’t take away from a 5 for the record and a 4 for the rec...
