The U2 were a great band when they sang "Sunday Bloody Sunday," but let's not even start talking about "Pop" onwards, not to mention "Vertigo."

The early Beatles (the ones from "She Loves You") agree with you. Cool, but the ones from SGT Peppers-Abbey Road don't. They weren't for screaming teenage girls anymore. Then the songs of the Backstreet Boys are all the same and all talk about love disappointments, while only the early Beatles were like that. Later they dealt with more important themes like peace (look at John Lennon). As for today’s music, I have little knowledge but a well-defined idea: Heavy Metal (now an element of satanic cults) - House ("noises" to dance to that smash your head) - Rap-Hip Hop (I prefer the '90s stuff) - Pop (the usual nonsense). Tell me what other good music there is to listen to today...

What did you say???????? The Beatles are the Backstreet Boys of the '60s???? But the Beatles wrote part of music history.... songs like Yesterday, Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane, Sgt. Pepper's and albums like Rubber Soul and Revolver are what the Backstreet Boys can only dream of in their little beds!!!! These are the statistics..... the Beatles are in every middle school music book, they are even studied in conservatories. And it's also not true that I know little about music (maybe today’s music, but I know bands from the '60s and '70s that kids my age don't even know exist (it's not to brag, but it’s called culture...)

I'm not saying that today's music is all crap, but most of it is, yes. By most, I mean what the masses listen to, like Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Linkin Park, Laura Pausini, Nek, and others. Now you might think, "but even back then the Beatles were listened to by the masses!!!!" but the difference is that the bands from back then brought innovations, while those today (the ones I've listed) only care about looking cool... you get it? For example, there are some groups today that I like, like Oasis (even if the masses follow them), Le Vibrazioni, Chester's Chief, Franz Ferdinand.....

Everyone listens to whatever they want, just as everyone is free to say that music like Linkin Park, Eminem, Jay-Z, and the Black Eyed Peas is crap!

I wouldn't waste time (even if it's a joke) reviewing such insignificant characters and albums... it baffles me that Jay-Z has that big lip and that Beyoncé is a drag queen.

I’m reading it too! I’ve got to the part where Desmond Morris’s testimony is. How about you?

Guys, can we understand that today there are only small groups? Bands like the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, The Who, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, WE CAN ONLY DREAM OF!!! Do you agree?

Greg nooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!! From someone who thinks like you, I wasn't expecting this.... You don't know who Emerson, Lake & Palmer are? Do Deep Purple seem old to you? Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but at least be aware that these bands, along with the Who, have made music history! As for Italian prog, there are few who love it, and it surprises me that you know the bands from that musical movement!
