Great job, Alfo. Double 5 for this review and for the very interesting analysis of the rural and urban themes in Neil Young's work.

Compliments Joe, brilliant review. One point, with which I agree with Pretazzo. Personally, I find it a stretch to define it as a fundamental album of the new wave (even chronologically we aren’t there, for me the new wave ends with the first singles of The Smiths, in 1983). I believe it’s more accurate to define it as a branch of the new wave, an intellectual and dreamlike offshoot that will have a life of its own and will name that attitude (it would be too restrictive to define it a genre) - dreampop - of which "Treasure" is certainly a seminal album (Dead Can Dance, My Bloody Valentine, and This Mortal Coil docents). Bye.

Thank you all for the comments. @iusedme. You’re not entirely wrong, but there was a lot on my plate, and not just from a musical standpoint, and I tried to give a summary discussion. Furthermore, a good part of the debaserians are quite familiar with Zorn, as evidenced by the reviews in the database. Additionally, I am not a "Zornian" exegete and I don’t believe I have the expertise to describe his music in detail, as sfasciacarrozze, morningstar, or wanderer could have done. However, I wanted to write something about this work, since it hadn’t been reviewed yet. For the neophytes, I tried to describe the album as a mix of traditional Jewish sounds filtered through an avant-garde approach that I presented in broad strokes, hoping at least to pique their curiosity about this intriguing work. Thanks for the notes. Bye!

thanks everyone for the comments. yes, it's true that courtney's father was very close to bassist phil lesh and was a regular at 710 ashbury, to the point that he even wrote one of the first books about the dead if I'm not mistaken. for the record - relatives/snakes - he was one of the accusers of his daughter regarding the alleged conspiracy about the murder of her husband...
