Tony Iommi Iron man. Il mio viaggio tra paradiso & inferno con i Black Sabbath
Voto:
Bartle is right from a certain perspective; I liked it because I'm attached to the BS and because some anecdotes are funny (I didn't know anything about the background, I never paid much attention to gossip), but as an autobiography, it's a bit cold. I've read much more engaging ones, without a doubt (like Lemmy's, for example).
Jerry Lee Lewis Live at the Star Club, Hamburg
Voto:
A blast, one of the best live performances in history.
Lou Reed Metal Machine Music
Voto:
The point is one: Did Reed conduct this experiment with full awareness, or was it just a prank to tell the record label to fuck off? Because it makes all the difference in the world.
James Brown Star Time - 4 CD Box Set
Voto:
I was so caught up in arguing back in 2009 that I even forgot to compliment Ima for the always excellent review and to give 5 stars to this essential box set for black music.
Suicide A Way of Life
Voto:
I'm stuck on the first two by the Suicide, I need to listen to it.
Guè Pequeno Il ragazzo d'oro

Right now, the only thing I remember about Club Dogo is Puro Bogotà, which wasn't bad, stupid lyrics aside. And then the track Il Sesto Senso with Kaos, nice. I don't know anything about the guy's solo career.
Bruce Springsteen Working on a Dream
Voto:
I grew up listening to Bruce, so as I said, I always enjoy his music, even in the cases of less than exceptional albums. This album isn't as bad as most critics say, but it also doesn’t reach the level of Magic and WB, in my opinion. The pop-Spectorian direction is evident, and he wanted to pay homage (along with the previous one) to this formative period of his life. The tracks aren't bad, except for a few missteps like Outlaw Pete (great lyrics, they even made a comic out of it, but musically it doesn’t work), while the production is too chaotic and that's the main flaw. Anyway, reading the reviews around the albums from the last 10-11 years makes me smile: long-time fans manage to criticize everything, even the cover of WB because “it resembles one by Coldplay”… really, a major flaw, unforgivable. Rock criticism is already quite amusing (let’s be honest), and these silly comments don't help.
Bob Dylan New Morning

It's been a while since I've listened to it, but I remember it being better than Self Portrait, which had a few approachable tracks but was overall rather lacking.
Bruce Springsteen High Hopes
Voto:
I listened to it again yesterday. Well... I really haven't understood this album, I suppose (or hope) it's one of those obligatory releases to fulfill the contract, I don't know. I've rarely seen one of his albums so carelessly thrown together. Especially the "unreleased" tracks seemed neither here nor there to me. Hunter is nice, yes. I think it competes with Working from 2009 as the worst album.
