"we shall overcome" the most successful piece?! for me it’s the weakest of the album. The album deserves respect because Bruce ventures into a genre that’s not really his, but it would be better if the Boss returned to embrace the Telecaster and plug it into the amplifier since the latest acoustic works ("devils and dust" and this latest one) show a lack of luster.

Powerage is awesome: it's a Back In Black that's "dirtier" (the Vanda-Young production is better than Lange's), maybe less epic but definitely more varied; there’s no drop in tone, pure energy from the first to the last song. The review was inexplicably missing and I wanted to provide it, but seeing the one just read, I think there’s no need. Good job!

Honest review, although debatable. The album might hold up against "No Prayer For The Dying," but when compared to the other works (including the previous "The X Factor"), "Virtual XI" is barely more than a booger! P.S.: I fully agree with Spaccamascella and the others: if 5 is the maximum and "Virtual XI" gets a 5, does that mean "Iron Maiden," "Powerslave," "Seventh Son," etc. are worth the same as "Virtual XI"? Are we kidding?

It was better "The X Factor". From "Virtual XI", "The Clansman" is the only saving grace, but the others are WAY too repetitive (even though I don't mind the much-criticized "The Angel And The Gambler"). One last thing... the singer’s name is BLAZE BAYLEY! Come on, you could have learned his name :-)
