A record made to be listened to under speedball, this album feels more like an experiment. The captain's masterpieces are Safe as Milk and Lick My Decals Off, Baby. Whether listenable or not, Trout must be in every respectable collection.

My ranking of the best garage bands of all time is this: Missing Links, Sonics, and Monks for the 60s, then in the revival phase, Fuzztones, Mummies, and Cynics. The Chesterfield Kings are great but too much of a revival; I would also add Gruesomes and Woggles.
