@zeroincondotta: my closing statement should be understood in general terms, meaning that generally films dealing with similar topics inevitably slip into rhetoric and the most saccharine sentimentality. Now, I honestly don't know if the original version is out there, but the videotape I bought a few years ago, like Marco, lasts almost 64 minutes.

Don't worry, Sanjuro, I'm not offended. They Live, to me, is ridiculous. I mean, the philosophical undertones are there, the intentions were commendable, but in the end, it all boils down to a farce. Look at the choice of actor, for example. The fact that Roddy Piper was cast as the lead seems absurd to me. He only needed a kilt. For me, it's a deadly bore, and I repeat, even if it's more or less conceptually similar to Videodrome, in my opinion, there's a chasm between the two works.

The review is a disaster. I didn't understand a thing about the film, but it was beautiful. Poletti, you make me laugh, like all those who flaunt their supposed superiority by throwing out random film titles, including some that are really pathetic.
