Genesis Trespass
Voto:
But I believe the strength of Genesis was not so much having skilled musicians and performing monstrous solos, but rather maintaining a certain degree of lightness even in their most complex works.

Yes, you’re right Beat, as a drummer he was truly great, perhaps even superior to Bruford (also considering the records with Brand X).

Miki, you seem too harsh to me. In my opinion, Genesis surpass 90% of contemporary bands. For pomp, maybe Yes and ELP have more of it, but of course, de gustibus... best regards.

Yes, Old is the first solo album by Philips, and he was assisted by Rutherford in its creation.

It's a great album, (this is when I started listening to Genesis) the following ones are more polished but this one is the most heartfelt. Anthony Phillips' contribution was crucial in creating the Genesis sound. When is the review of "The Geese and the Ghost" coming?
Eels Blinking Lights And Other Revelations
Voto:
I discovered them recently, and it was a revelation! They reconciled me with American music that I hadn't listened to in a while. "Blinking Lights.." is one of the (not many) masterpieces of the early 2000s for me.
Rick Wakeman The Myths And Legends Of King Arthur And The Knights Of The Round Table
Voto:
I agree with Barrett, the right dimension for Wakeman is the group.
Tony Banks A Curious Feeling
Voto:
Guys, did you download it or buy it? There's not even a trace of it in the stores (and not just this one by Tony Banks).
Pino Daniele Sciò
Voto:
Guys, do you have the soundtrack of "Le vie del Signore.."? I've never seen it.
The Beach Boys Surfin' Usa

In my opinion, Pet Sounds is a milestone; of course, everyone hears what they want, but the early albums feel a bit dated to me.
