Moda Canto Pagano
Voto:
Great idea to revive the Italian 80s groups: I’m signing up for "Così fan tutti" by Denovo.
Francesco De Gregori Canzoni d'Amore
Voto:
It's the De Gregori album I'm most attached to; it was the first one I listened to. Listening to it again now, I find it a bit populist, but it's certainly the most energetic and sincere. Am I wrong, or was Povero Me composed with Mimmo Locasciulli?
Fabio Concato Ballando Con Chet Baker

An artist often underestimated, Fabio Concato.
Quella Vecchia Locanda Quella Vecchia Locanda

I met the son of keyboardist Massimo Rosselli, who told me they were among the best bands of the time.
Diaframma Tre Volte Lacrime
Voto:
I completely agree with you Mike, I am also convinced that Italian record labels have not been able to properly value their artists; the Diaframma are the most obvious example, but they are not the only ones, just think of people like Enzo Avitabile, Almamegretta, C.S.I and even Fabrizio De Andrè.
Phil Collins Face Value

On July 14, 2007, they will perform in Rome at the Imperial Fora, in the three-member formation of their latest albums.
Lucio Battisti Friends
Voto:
The versions are great except for Il gabbianone, but I think it was recorded just like that. Prmiballi, sorry, do you happen to have the tracklist for Friends? Regarding Battisti's "Ghostalbum," yes, I've heard about it back when he died, and it seemed like the album was supposed to come out right after, but the family vetoed it; but those are just rumors, who knows if it's true.

I downloaded "afraid of falling" and "I think of you," the latter especially is exceptional, merging psychedelia and disco music, and to think that these are "leftovers" that many artists would do anything to have written themselves. Not to mention "Il gabbianone" and the psychedelic version of "Il nostro caro angelo" (in this version, there's a prelude to the atmospheres of "Anima Latina"), but I mean, in recent years various box sets have been released and very little has been recovered, what a shame!

The Rosenbach Museum and the Ticket to Hell draw near with atmospheres.
New Order Brotherhood
Voto:
Well! New Order is not a band that drives me crazy; they seem to have aged quite poorly, but at least they had the honesty to change their name after Curtis's death. It may seem like a small thing, but few other bands have had the courage to do that.
