True, a feast for the eyes, I agree, with all those colors that make your head spin. I liked the personal interpretation and reading of Coppola that emerges amidst the glitz in the film: glossy, redundant, kitschy, and a pop box it may be (because I think a little of that too). But damn, that scene while the drunken aristocratic heirs run through the gardens with New Order's "Ceremony" playing underneath is amazing. I would have liked to be her just for Count Hans Axel Von Fersen (but the one from Lady Oscar though) :D who cares if they chopped off my head.
