"X" is a classy album, from an artist who has been working with class for 20 years. "X" is not to be considered a dance record but a retrospective album, a mix of styles that have characterized Kylie Minogue from the 80s onwards.

"2 hearts" opens the album and we immediately recognize that 80s sound of The Loco-motion, but increasingly hypnotic and aggressive. "Like a drug" and "in my arms" take us to two different clubs: the first track is Kylie at 100x100 while the second is more melodic. Both very catchy. "Speakerphone" is a song Madonna could be jealous of, a beautiful pop track. "Sensitized" takes us back to the Kylie of the 90s, the indie and experimental Minogue: it should be listened to multiple times. "Heart beat rock" is produced by Calvin Harris and in my opinion the worst on the album. "The one" brings us back to the club, this time it vaguely recalls the grandmother of pop, Cher. "No more rain" is the beautiful ballad of this record, telling us that the negative period is over. "All I see" reminds a lot of Janet Jackson, a very chic and classy R&B. "Stars" and "Wow" (second single) are 2 gems of pop music, innovative, fresh, and fun, as the entire album ultimately turns out to be. "nu-di-ty" takes us back to the territory already explored by Nelly Furtado, but you can strongly feel Kylie's touch. "X" closes with "cosmic" a beautiful slow song.

"X" is a truly beautiful and interesting album, just like Kylie is! After 20 years of success and a dark, difficult period, there was no need to wallow in sadness with a gloomy album.

Great Kylie, you've amazed us once again.
