White Lies Ritual

I haven't listened to their first album, but I remember I quite liked the video for "Farewell To The Fairground." I've listened to this one, and I don't mind it at all. As you mentioned, dear de-reviewer, "Stranger" and "Bigger Than Us" are great, but I also found "Streetlights," "Turn The Bells," and especially "Come Down" very enjoyable, along with the already mentioned "Holy Ghost." The only track I really didn't like was "Bad Love." Overall, a decent album, all things considered.

I really like this little disc.

Quite a decent record, but The '59 Sound still stands a cut above.

Nice review! I've already shared my opinion about the album in the other review without voting. Now, however, I feel ready!

I’ve been listening to it on repeat since yesterday and I still can’t figure out if I like it or if I think it’s crap. I’ve never followed them with extreme interest, and the only track I really listened to was "Il Suicidio dei Samurai," which I find pleasant. This one is too much, excessive in every way, and for now, there are quite a few bad tracks. Oh my, there are some interesting ideas (Mi Coltivo, Adoratorio, Miglioramento, Attonito, Sul Ciglio...) but for now, it doesn’t feel like much to me.

Honestly, I was very skeptical after Aaron Gillespie's departure, but this new album sounds fantastic. Personally, I rank it just behind "Act of Depression" and "Define the Great Line." I agree with you that taken individually, a song from this work loses a lot of quality; it's definitely better to listen to it all in one go. Daniel Davison's contribution to the drumming is fantastic (I admit Norma Jean is among my favorite bands). Decent review, by the way :)

You are never satisfied. It's free, and it's at least a decent album, better than a lot of crap out there sold for 20 pennies. Anyway, I don't like either this one or Plastic Beach. However, I quite like the cover.
