I must say that I stopped being a fan of R.E.M. after "The One I Love" and "It's The End..." and I even wished for their demise after "Automatic," but I really liked this album when it was released, and I find it decent 12 years later. Of course, grunge influenced them (and you can hear it in the album)... but how do you feel about listening to "Superunknown," "Uncle Anesthesia," "Inhaler," "Dirt"... not to mention "Nevermind"... at 15?

I am a passionate fan and I've felt the urge to listen to it again... perhaps it's a bit cryptic for newcomers, but there are plenty of clues to understand what it's about... "Why did I allow her folk, her sadly bucolic, bittersweet blues to disrupt my evening?" seems quite enough to me...
