On their website, I found this... "'Straviari' recorded in Agghiastru's living room between March and April 2007, is the first official demo available to the public while awaiting the debut CD. Alongside new compositions like 'Stravìa' and 'Scuru', there are new versions of historical tracks by the band Inchiuvatu such as 'Curù', 'Jaddinu', 'Veni'. The musical arrangement is minimalist, reduced to the use of piano and voice, accordion, guitars, and percussion, pure intimacy. The Sicilian shaman creates, in the nearly thirty minutes of the disc, the ideal soundtrack for a mystical journey to the heart of the Sicilian land."

Herzog and Jodorowsky... it seems like a difficult pairing. The former is certainly a genius of direction, while the latter is just a genius (in my humble opinion). Furthermore, Jodorowsky worked in Central and South America, not exactly the Mecca of cinema. Comparing them... it's like comparing Faust and Gong... it can't be done.

I liked the review, perhaps because the film is something truly unattainable. Master Jodorowsky concludes his trilogy with Santa Sangre, perhaps the least visionary of the three, but he remains the supreme dream master. And Stronko fully enhances his qualities.
