Alexis, the only one who died in Metallica was the bassist Cliff Burton, who died during a tour when the Metallica bus overturned and Cliff got trapped. He was later replaced by Jason Newsted.

One thing is the complete absence of bass lines, and another is to say that the bass parts in st.anger are very simple. The bass in st.anger is there; it’s just that it’s not the most prominent instrument (which, in my opinion, happens with the drums). No one here is saying that Kirk Hammet can no longer play solos... and this story that they didn’t include them on the CD because they wanted to create something more spontaneous smells a bit. Live, it is known, all bands rearrange their pieces differently to avoid making the concert a simple performance of the CD (unfortunately, there are exceptions).

Metallica made this very loud album to give it a more aggressive and angry tone (almost like it!!!!), but this operation reeks of being commercial and meticulously planned around a table that I don’t know what to say… Metallica said to themselves: "Now we’ll fool everyone by producing an even messier album than Load and Reload." And then in St. Anger, the bass is present: it’s not played by Trujillo but by Bob Rock, their loyal producer.

This album rocks, this album rocks.....but rocks what?????? the balls, if anything!!!!! cliffburton I've always supported you in your reviews and we had a nice discussion about the guns, but you really drop the ball on st. anger? I'm sorry but this cd sucks and indeed we need to be objective: it is unacceptable that a band like metallica, who have produced absolute masterpieces of metal, release this ambiguous st. anger, which doesn't know whether it's coming or going (I had a long discussion on the linkin park forum, check it out). Anyway, in my opinion, this album is influenced by nu-metal.

Passenger, I was listening to Death and Children of Bodom when you were still to be born... poor fool... it might be that in the last 2 years Dani Filth has worn a bit thin, but go listen to the legendary concerts from their early days up to '98-'99, I have some videos from that time that are spine-tingling. And then Dani was the first to mix together growling and screaming. THE MUSICAL STYLE OF THE CRADLE IS UNMIMICKABLE!!!!!!

For the second time, I agree with Alexis... please, let’s stick to more musical discussions rather than throwing around clichés and acting like great men/women of this damn world. Just so you know, Cla from Rimini, I’m 17, so I am part of this generation (even though I don’t identify with it), and as you can see, I have completely different musical tastes from those of Alexis or DJZell... sure, you’ll say, there are exceptions, but with your previous statements, I feel offended. Anyway, at Rock in Rio, Nicko uses the double bass pedal.

In Bari, however, it doesn't work that way, otherwise they wouldn't let a fool like you be free... Anyway, I don’t understand why we’re insulting each other since neither of us listens to Evanescence... kisses
