Anyway, I believe that Myung has very little to do with Pastorius: the former has a faster, more technical style that falls within the dictates of metal, whereas the latter is more inclined towards jazz and fusion (as you all know), and for this reason has absolute freedom on the neck and is more independent compared to other instruments.
