festwca...you're right, a terrible doubt crossed my mind as soon as I saw this cover...mha...in my opinion, if there are no particular correlations, I interpret it as a tribute to the Unkle...truly amazing, I would say, discovered just about a year ago, love at first listen, then diving into getting all their albums (almost always magnificent).

Well... I don't know the boundary between who sings well or badly; I only know that the Meat Puppets wouldn't be themselves if the songs weren't sung like that. The Pixies (a notch above J Lizard) are an essential band precisely because of how Black Francis sings, heavily criticized by many. What does it mean to sing well?? Perhaps sung by Arisa, they would objectively be prettier.
