For example, the fact that it's simple music is, from my point of view, a virtue... then I don’t find his lyrics bad... they are straightforward and leave little to the imagination... let’s say he writes his songs, sings them, and goes back home without too many frills.

I would also recommend "Dal fronte dei colpevoli" by Elettronoir, it's from 2005... but it can be a good starting point... I think it's a great album.

@ENV: I would also suggest "secondo" by Vittorio Cane... a very "authorial" album (without exaggerating too much, I think it’s an excellent album)... then for somewhat more particular tastes, "balera metropolitana" by Maisie (let's say it's a sort of Iliad of Italian music... 2.40 hours of music).
