Fugazi Repeater
Voto:
In the sense that the Jesus Lizard didn’t make music with a constructive and positive purpose like Fugazi. There was a desire in Fugazi to change the surrounding reality, while the Lizard offered an immediate description of rolling in the muck without the ability or perhaps the interest to get out of it. The music of Fugazi is combative and active, while that of the Lizard is agonizing, tragic, and claustrophobic: decidedly passive and hysterical. I find that they arrived with very similar musical influences: Jazz, Hardcore, Noise, yet reached completely opposite stylistic and ideological results. That said, I have immense respect for Fugazi for having betrayed the 80s hardcore punk tradition with the birth of straight edge, but the Jesus Lizard has reached levels I consider superior. De gustibussss :)

MR H, I completely agree with you. But I don’t hate the Beatles either; would you hate stones? Would you hate the walls of a building? That’s how I view the Beatles, as a monumental incomprehensibility passed off as ultra-refined sonic coitus, not to mention seminal for all rock-pop @_@! In short, the album in the sandwich could have been Use Your Illusions by Guns N' Roses, one of the most kitschy works of rock, or something from "Teatro Del Sogno," or maybe from those pathetic sellouts, Metallica. In any case, there are several raw PARNA laxative sandwiches out there :) Regardless, I wouldn’t have included the early work of Korn, which wasn’t bad... baii baii. But between listening to the Jesus Lizard or the Residents and these crappy sandwiches, there’s roughly a difference of 12,000 sonic highways. Baiii baiii.

Yes, but in another one, it also said New wave new wave new wave in contrast to the B. Yeah, I wanted to do it on Korn; I just needed to replace the album title that was in the sandwich :) I could have included Use Your Illusion by Guns N' Roses, anything crapped out by Metallica or Dream Theater... it would have been identical, ehhe ^^

Great, you listen to Pink Floyd :D I love them madly, but I just don't get the second period, the one with Barrett. Even though some say it's the best, I think it's bullshit. The ones with Gilmour are way better! ahh if you like the Beatles too, go here ^^ Pagina non trovata
