But excuse me, can Corgan not smile now? It was clear that this was just a simple experiment, a fun interlude between the Smashing Pumpkins and his solo album. In fact, Zwan no longer exists. It's an unpretentious album; if you listen to it expecting the Smashing Pumpkins, it's normal that you'll hate it. Just listen to it. I didn't dislike it, but it didn't drive me crazy. It didn't make me shit; an album has never made me go to the bathroom. Prunes do, though.

Piano Bar is not dedicated to Venditti. The story of Buonanotte Fiorellino and his first wife who died in a plane crash is also a fairy tale. I had heard it too, but it’s not true.

Oh my God, the album has some nice moments, it's a nice pop record, but it's not a five-star album. Freddie's love for disco music was sometimes his Achilles' heel. He hit rock bottom with HOT SPACE and fortunately bounced back with THE WORKS. I prefer Made In Heaven and I Was Born To Love You done by Queen; they are certainly not played horrendously as you claim. It might just be a matter of taste. The music is danceable, the melodies work well, but the overall arrangement seems a bit lacking and not up to par... it flattens into disco music and I don't like it. The rock remix of My Love is Dangerous and the different versions found in the Freddie Mercury Album seem to have more impact than those presented here. I prefer BARCELONA, written with Mike Moran and sung with the opera singer Montserrat Caballé... that captures a side of Freddie's soul expressed with greater results, namely his love for operatic singing. I prefer that Mercury to this one (at least musically). Oh, and to say that this album is better than the Queen albums released after 1976 seems like a stretch... shall we forget News Of The World (1977), The Game (1980), The Works (1984), A Kind Of Magic (1986), Innuendo (1991)? There are more than one album in the bunch that is better than this.

I mistakenly labeled the genre as psychedelia... I know well that it's not appropriate!

I don't understand why you're so afraid of the word commercial. Music is also this. And then if all CDs were commercial in this way. It may have been a bestseller, but it deserves appreciation for many other reasons. Barrett wrote what he wrote in one album and 2 others as a solo artist (hand in hand with Waters and Gilmour). It's too easy to be genius once and then stop. I don't disdain Barrett, I don't deny his value, but some of his pieces seem much more easy and commercial to me. I think it's simply a matter of taste; you make it a matter of musical value. It seems that if an album sells, it can't have artistic value? Let's put aside Atom Heart Mother, I agree with you on Meddle, perhaps the best of the pre-DSOTM albums. But aren't the soundtracks More & Obscured by Clouds commercial in your opinion? And then the commercial component of a beautiful record like this is a strength. Honestly, you don't make music at those levels just for love of the homeland. Otherwise, you make a record at home, play it for just two or three friends, and you're satisfied that way. Too easy. Anyway, I think our disagreement is simply a matter of taste and what we perceive from Pink Floyd's music. I wouldn't make it an issue of musical quality and artistic value. I'm re-listening to Atom Heart Mother... it's boring me. Meddle, on the other hand, is excellent.

I'm sorry to say this, but this record is useless and sucks... I bought it purely for collecting purposes.
