I stand corrected: a little while ago I commented by listing my favorite reviewers, and I had forgotten about you, Nino, one of the best lately. I found this compilation on a blog (vattelappescacomecazzosichiamava) and I was about to convert to Islam, renaming myself Abdel Khaderbai. Actually, I'm looking it up now, I'll put it on a USB drive, leave the office with a ghetto blaster, and set up a Berber tent in the parking lot.

@lukin: but you’re completely nuts! I ended up on your page and you’re still updating it; there are some outrageous nonsense that I had totally removed! Take a look at version 1.0 too, it's fantastic! Enough, I’ll stop now before my boss materializes in his lovely "quail-stuffed-with-snake-boot-and- Batman-penguin-body" outfit.

Well, Josi has sparked the mother of all controversies; they should give Easycure a lifelong government subsidy for their tenacity! @boredom: thanks for the link, I've never read that review, and the guitarist in question is truly a character!

There have been many reviewers that I remember. Hal, Donjunio, Odradek, the delusions of Moon and caz, Lewis Tollani, Enkriko for that review on/against the Cocorosie (defined as "uterine purge") and others I can't recall +, in addition to many present here. Who remembers the fascio di roma Mauro? The one who made appointments with millions of users outside their homes?

I also met Tabba at one of the first meetings, and he didn't give me the impression of someone like Vic, but what’s behind the keyboard will never truly be known.

Sanjuro and I had an intense exchange of messages where he called me an idiot because I responded in kind to his goodbye message. He said I was a jerk for taking the site seriously. From a certain point of view, he was right at the time, but you have no idea how seriously he took himself while pretending not to. Then he would pass himself off as Vic Sorriso and Zigghio, but honestly, I don't know if he played there too. After the third message, I gave up. Oh, and while going through my inbox, I noticed an old message from about two years ago, sent by some idiot from my university whom I called a mongolo in a review of this Punk Princess, who was replying in offense. Is it worth responding after two years? And above all, should I get back at the snitch? Probably the same punkprincess or sorciopeloso from the same university? Hamlet-like doubts of a slacker.....

"But we're in '99. Pro Evolution Soccer hadn’t even been born yet." Proevolution is the European version (and terrible in the early editions) of Winning Eleven, which is the original Japanese game. That was already out in '98. I had FIFA 99 too, but it was unnecessarily easy, and it was the typical bullshit arcade game; Winning didn’t even come close. Now I hear it has improved significantly, but back then it was really a silly game.

the only serious game of the time was sensible soccer, in the manager version it was the best.

Fallen, sorry for the pompous reply, I didn’t mean to create hierarchies based on age; if you’ve researched, you probably know more than me. I’m just limited to memories from childhood, adolescence, and a bit beyond. Anyway, I haven’t strictly studied anthropology, but I have taken exams in ethnology, anthropology (even biblical), and for my thesis, half of the texts were anthropo-sociological, both general and on Cultural Studies. Moreover, my focus was on philosophical theology, so the question of belief has always intrigued me. It’s a pity I’m now a slave to work and my debating skills are at an all-time low. Even just five years ago, I managed better. It’s true that work weakens a person.

Fallen, I think you haven't read carefully; my discourse was not about questioning murder, rape, and the like, even though there have been societies, even very structured ones, where the ritual murder of enemies was a common practice with symbolic and material ends (cannibalism for its own sake is likely a historical falsehood, or rather a misinterpretation of certain customs); being relativistic does not mean this. As I explained, it's an exercise of the mind that should help interpret better the things around us, without using preconceived categories that are often disconnected from reality. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Regarding Woitila, I'm not saying anything, and neither should you, considering you lived through the final years of his papacy, when he had become a puppet moved by electrodes. I remember some of his actions from the '80s and, to be honest, he didn’t seem particularly enlightened to me (but I don't expect anything like that from a pope). Just because at a certain point he was an old man who was likable to many, it shouldn't overshadow a clear analysis of his past actions.
