I found it, as usual, used, but I left it on the shelf. I don't mind the rec because it's direct and straightforward, but I disagree on one point, that is, that unknowns = great (at least in most cases, as you write). I don't mean to say they aren't because I don't know them, but this "alternative" way of thinking is now old and decrepit, and above all, it doesn't have real-world support in my opinion. This doesn't mean that only groups that, whether due to talent or historical circumstances, have risen to international prominence deserve attention, but it is also true that many underground records owe their fame often more to their scarcity than to the actual quality of the music contained within.

I've never heard anything by the residents, but I have a vivid memory of their performance when I saw them live at Arezzo Wave in 2000 (they played after dEUS... kudos for that lineup!). The concert was an insane and hallucinatory experience (due to my pretty bewildered mental state), and it seemed to be a concept about Christianity that was absolutely disturbing. Anyway, I don't think it's really for me, especially not at this time.
