THE REVIEW

Six Fresh Songs is the latest work by the Falconara-based band Lush Rimbaud, a quartet that has been active for several years and over time has developed a personal and effective sound, in a stable balance between post/math rock and post hardcore, constantly edgy, full-bodied, and solid.
And in these fresh new six songs, they give their best, moving from the atmospheres typical of Don Caballero and 90 Days Man (listen to the opening instrumental "Kobayashi Cup") to the frenetic and cut-up sounds of "Post No Bills" and "The Tuna Song" (just to name a couple...), full of bouncing guitars and incisive and never trivial rhythms, able to channel into an excellent result the impactful lessons of Jawbox and Fugazi and the blatantly lo-fi pop of Pavement and Sebadoh.

An explosive mix of undeniable quality, it's impossible to remain still at one of their concerts, and also impossible that only now they've found a label interested in them (the newly born Eaten By Squirrels, debut EP to be released soon).
Highly recommended.
