The Velvet Revolver are doing it BADLY and I just hope it's for the money and not for some vain artistic ambition. Anyway, I continued to follow Queen (for a little while) even after Freddie died and all the fuss erupted around them. However, to compare them, even accidentally, with the Velvet is blasphemy; the influence of the Velvet spans nearly four decades, while Queen were definitely less essential.

I finally managed to get it.... what else can I say besides what you've already written, zigghio? In my opinion, it's light years ahead of Miami, which instead left me hugely disappointed; this one is raw and burns inside, the other will be due to the poor work on the mixer, washed out and lacking in bite.

I don’t agree, Luis. Some music ages well and some doesn’t… I mean, the Moody Blues might have sounded fresh back in the day, but now some of their stuff is almost embarrassing to listen to again… Then, in my opinion, how heartfelt the music sounds now depends on: 1) What’s trending... 15 years ago, if you were a DJ and played, I don’t know, the Sonics or the 13th Floor Elevators, people would laugh at you because the garage revival was yet to come. 2) What someone listens to. For me, who doesn’t hear and doesn’t know much of the so-called new wave, bands like Maximo Park and others today, or even worse, Interpol, might give me a "never heard this before, how cool!" reaction, while for others it’s the opposite.

You know, open, that I don't really think they're suited for the stoner genre? Back when this recording was made, I didn't realize it, but they're less predictable and more original than many derivative stoner groups like Kyuss/Monster Magnet and similar sounds.

I finally got it....the opening is exhilarating.....so far very beautiful and, above all, it doesn’t make me feel sad like I thought it would.

Good job, I was interested in bassholes, my dealer has been trying to offer them to me for years. Nice rec. except for the typo "senza remori."

Just downloaded Trell, I'll let you know but I think I'm going to like it... for the Oneida I'm trying to get it done today.

Six Organs Of Admittance School Of The Flower

Thanks for the suggestion. I downloaded the first of the six organs, considered their masterpiece, but it's monstrously monotonous; at least this one has some noise inserts, while that one is just nothing, 40 minutes of arpeggios.
