MC5 Kick Out The Jams
Voto:
Fuck, you got me! What a great album, what a great live show; you can hear the sound of the tubes in the amps as much as Tyner and the gang are giving it their all. I also thought that the MC5 were just this album. Basically, that’s true; Back in the USA is crap, but High Time, even though it has sounds that are worth half of the live album, has some nice songs. And to think that back then everyone was betting on these guys instead of the Stooges, and I hate to say it, but the younger brothers have produced better stuff. I don’t know if "A True Testimonial," the film made with FBI footage of the MC5, has ever been released here (I assume not) or even if it exists on DVD... they presented it at the Toronto Film Festival years ago, but nothing else has been heard since. Does anyone know anything? Anyway, one note: the MC5 could not have influenced garage, because they came after that phenomenon. Also, Sinclair and the White Panthers were a bunch of idiots in my opinion, a faded bourgeois copy without any political doctrine of the Black Panthers. Just take a look online and see what happened to this two-bit revolutionary.

In the end, they passed it to me, and I have to say that on these foggy days, this record is doing me good. At times they're overly sentimental, and the references to the 60s are some of the worst (the mammas and papas... arghhh!!), but somehow these four chubby guys manage to be likable to me.

Good job, the comparison with the Floyd fits, ajeje... Deserter represents a unique experience for me and a very painful period of my life, so I'm not objective. From the old Lips, take the triple "Finally the punk rockers are taking acid" with the first three albums and the first EP. Sound from the '80s but super brilliant. If you want just one title, it's Telepathic Surgery and oh my gawd!! Ah crap, that’s two! The production after the fourth album is not great, but Transmission from Satellite Heart has half a point more than the rest.

On the site there’s the video of her at open door, but those assholes cut the psychedelic ending... bastards!! They’re coming to the lair on 19-11 and if it weren’t for the monstrous Black Mountain... those who don’t come don’t get high.

beautiful gino, the image of the bee gees struck by lightning on the road to damascus really appeals to me.....but what is it, you’re going back to the sixties? are we crazy? the cover reminds me of the best of abba.....but do you remember that photomontage of mine? I like the magic numbers, thank you.

I still prefer the new ones (or rather Deserter's Song and that's it) to the old ones. However, listening to it again after some time, this album is just behind Deserter. I've already mentioned elsewhere that, in my opinion, the ideas are there, but there are few truly beautiful tracks, as you pointed out with Chasing a Bee and Sweet Odyssee being the top ones. However, the double edition released four years ago has the best track: Car Wash Hair. I don't know if they have improved over time compared to their cousins, the Lips, who were far better in the beginning than they are now. I really like the short and concise rec.

I don't get kosmo.... are you referring to the priapism caused by Iggy? Should I take it as a advance? And in that case, I'm an Orientalist precisely because I'm a eunuch.....

Damn, this weekend three different people recommended it to me. I'll have to take it, but I'm going to record it because I don't want his photos in the house; they make me anxious. I already ripped the cover of the noise from the set because I couldn't stand looking at the caccarosie...
