beautiful very beautiful Lewis, well done for making it. Last week I finished the discography of Guru Guru. This remains my favorite. Kanguru, for example, which was recommended to me, pales in comparison to UFO. There's also a pretty decent live version available online. I would add that many stoner bands take a lot from this album and especially from the subsequent ones, and from the Cosmic Jokers, less acid-infused... that is, a few tracks.

How much did you pay for electronic meditation? I dropped a neat 20 euros... oh, and today, since it's my birthday, I received the double DVD of the Can. Considering the exorbitant price, let's hope it's worth it.

and sorry, it's better if someone does it anyway. by the way, I almost forgot another great delirious record I discovered lately thanks to Cope, "Tarot" by Walter Wegmuller.....a double album that’s a blast. look for it online, it’s available.

fuck lewis I was about to do UFO by guru guru today.......sigh fuck work that doesn’t let me write like I want. Leave me the cosmic jokers, you have an enviable psychedelic voracity anyway. We should do a DJ night together inside a lunatic asylum like

Damn, I'm reviewing it right now for a magazine... Damn, it’s getting to me more and more. By constantly criticizing it, I find myself loving it. I’m really a nostalgic, there's no denying it. Antmo, are you coming to Rimini next week to see them?

I agree with Lewis's last comment; at least Cope has no pretensions of objectivity. Electronic Meditation is one of the heaviest things I've ever heard; I bought it sight unseen about a month ago. I lent it to a friend, and this is the kind of stuff that causes an accident while you're listening to it in the car. He gave it back to me… anyway, some news I've discovered about Krautrocksampler are the Cosmic Jokers, truly among the most psychedelic and spacey things ever heard. Between Planeten Sit-In, L.M.O., and Galactic Supermarket, I wouldn't know which one to choose. Oh, and I almost forgot: Join Inn by Ashra Tempel. Freak'n'Roll is one of the most devastating psychedelic jams I've ever heard, too bad the second track and the last are just organ vocalizations for the remaining 23 minutes or so… those German junkies. Does anyone have 7UP, the album with Timothy Leary?

Good job Lewis, even if I'm not as fond of this rec as the others, maybe because I devoured krautrocksampler and therefore the historiography wasn't as useful for me. Anyway, great choice and great album, I was thinking of doing it, I'll dive into soundtracks. I go crazy for "Mary Mary So Contrary."

So, as soon as I read the review from Pitchfork: the guy who reviews boasts about mocking the 15-year-old fans of Tool from his "28" years of age... and damn what should I do at 30, ask for a senator's chair? Pathetic. The thing is, for a disenchanted Anglophone, the lyrics of Tool might seem funny, as they appear to be written by people who take themselves way too seriously, that makes sense. I also chuckle a bit when I reread the lyrics of some tracks from Aenema. But anyway, his analysis focuses only on Lateralus; the guy didn’t even know what Aenema was back in '96. This is perhaps the biggest problem with online publishing. Many of these guys have too few years of listening under their belts. I’m not specifically referring to the Tool review, but in a general sense. At least magazines have a John Vignola who, even if a bit snobbish, at least has some understanding of past listens. Anyway, I’ll continue later.

I'm not talking about Luca G., I'm referring to the singer Luca G. who also has a little shop of DVDs, CDs, and strange stuff in Reggio.

I work where I live, that is in Ancona, and in the evenings I listen to sixties music, especially in the summer.
