You're right, elected, I had noticed it before. Well, then it's even less interesting from my point of view. And the effect is tremendously kitsch.

"In my opinion, the users of Debaser have been unfair and even ungrateful for not wanting to hypocritically acknowledge how many times they have identified themselves in the situations described in their songs." Speak for yourself. I just wonder one thing: do you really believe that these two artists mentioned above deserve all this talking? By doing so, you give them artistic credibility, something they cannot have in a world made of human beings with opposable thumbs. And Albano's wines suck, classic méthode blanc de blanc over and over again. With the cork and everything.

"I recently watched Roger Rabbit again and I found it to be a beautiful film" ....I would say that's your problem... Look, we're almost the same age, so it surprises me even more that us thirty-somethings or just a bit older can't avoid falling into the nostalgia trap. I can understand that Ghostbusters (which I just rewatched as well) has a rhythm and a charm that are among the best in the genre, but Roger Rabbit has aged horribly. I mean, it’s unwatchable! With that early CGI, at most it’s good for a study on the evolution of CGI in cinema, but not as a film in itself. Well, everyone sees things their own way; I can't and don't want to change people's minds—there's already the "psiconano" for that. Ah, I'm going to eat a baby now...

Oh, why has even Who Framed Roger Rabbit now become a film for the annals of cinema history? Please, let's not mix childhood memories with what is hopefully a more objective analysis of a film's value. I liked it when I was a kid too, but I would be embarrassed to watch it now. The only reason it should be remembered is the use of CG (which, just two years later, was laughable).

Anyway, now that I think about it, the Metallica from Kill 'Em All are in my opinion the ones that least resemble Blue Cheer... damn, they were basically a band that sped up punk by throwing solos everywhere. They remind me a lot of Motörhead. @Fest: NOOOOO! You can't say that New Improved is good!!!! It totally sucks, it would have been better if Holden had stayed with the Other Half. I've been saying for a while now to listen to Population II... now I’ll make up for it.

I'm listening to them right now... cute, actually almost not bad, if it weren't for the fact that this stuff (just going back a few years) was done almost identically by the last Q & Not U. Does anyone remember them?

more than this accompanied me throughout the summer of '99, along with Deserter's Song and Ideal Crash, lovely memories of a rather troubled time. I listened to it again just today, still beautiful.

I've always found this movie entertaining; I managed to see it in the cinema. Gozer the Gozerian remains one of the best names, and Moranis's possessed frenzy is fantastic. Then, with the distance of age and time, it remains a classic little comedy, a solid 3/5. In this, gentlemen, I find myself agreeing with POletti regarding shedding the nostalgic veil (see the controversy already raised about The Goonies - which don't even compare to this - and all the scum that reviews Il_Paolo). Yes, it's fair to say that in its domain it's among the best, but from a general perspective, it's still just a little comedy.

Oh, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it would be a drag, but instead it had the same effect on me as In The Land Of Grey And Pink by Caravan. At first I said, "What is this mush?" Then slowly the melodies got into my head and they didn’t leave. This is getting close to those levels. "Boats" drives me crazy. It’s the album that Genesis should have made with Gabriel without getting lost in excessive ramblings (which are completely absent here). Beautiful, I didn't expect it.
