The Angels Of Light We Are Him
Voto:
Oh wow, did no one do it yet? Good job Fest, we were talking about this disc last year and you recommended it to me. In the meantime, I downloaded it, but I haven't digested it yet; however, I remember the chilling opening, that's for sure.

unjustly considered minor, but one of the most interesting Can albums. I should get the original one day. Thief is beautiful too. Well done Cannas, it was the last essential Can album missing from the database.

Have you heard the new Bartle? I’ve had it for a while, but it left me a bit baffled. I mean, it’s kind of like this, but with less substance, and it seems more like an EP given its duration of around 30 minutes.

psychotic I'll redirect you to comment 41. I want to see for how many years people will comment on this review thinking it's real....

in concert on Thursday, July 10, practically right in my backyard, at the Lazzaretto in Ancona, maybe even for free.
Popol Vuh Affenstunde
Voto:
I had promised myself to listen to Affenstunde years ago; by now, I think I'll have to wait for another life. Or until I get that kraut trip back like three years ago. However, I agree that ratings should be given sparingly, and among many lovers of kraut, niche prog, or psychedelia, there's a tendency to praise everything almost indiscriminately. That is, to give a completely personal rating (because a lot of German stuff elicits very different reactions among listeners approaching it; you like Kraftwerk, I like Sergius Golowin, and so on), without trying to have the most objective view possible on its overall value. Well, I obviously can't say if the rating for me is right or wrong, because I've never listened to it, so this is a general reflection.

In the end, I'm getting that new one, found it for €4.50 on Amazon, that's reasonable, right?

I mostly agree with Fest; I hardly ever rely on the reviews I see on those sites, and I often find myself in disagreement. Let's say I used to consult Ondarock for the monographs 8 years ago, but then not much since. It never helped me discover groundbreaking albums. At first, I was interested in Sentireascoltare, but then it also grated on my nerves. Storia della musica has potential, but the average age is still younger than that of Onda and Sentire. So there too, I follow it for the older albums and for some truly talented reviewers. It's a shame it's not very lively.

Well, buddy, we get each other right away! I wanted to review the previous one last year, and I'm about to review this one these days. It’s definitely very beautiful, growing exponentially with each listen, and it’s one of the best things I've heard this year, along with Left Lane Cruiser. And I recommend you check out Spectrum Meets Capt Memphis (that is one of the Spacemen 3), quite psychedelic.
Ash Ra Tempel Schwingungen
Voto:
But Schwingungen doesn’t mean "waves and oscillations"? At least that’s what my bilingual Franco-Italian friend used to tell me. Among the first kraut records I’ve listened to, but among the records of the ashratempel it's the one I hear the least, perhaps the perfect balance for me remains Join Inn and especially that trippy Freak'n'Roll (an absolutely programmatic title). After Neu, I read it now as work or at least I try.
