You read too much Blow Up, that's the problem.
Frank Miller Ronin
Voto:
I'm not the keeper of Japanese knowledge! And honestly, I know little more about Ronin than you do, especially because I’ve never been passionate about the topic of Samurai and especially Bushido and the related Book of Five Rings (the historical accuracy of which is still to be verified). In fact, it seems that Miyamoto Musashi may not have been a real person. Anyway, I’ll read it later! My older sister has the comic; I should go get it.

NOOOOO! NOOOOO! NOOOOO! I've wanted to review Bumba Atomika for 5 years now (which is way better than this). A transgenerational legend for us, the 96 reunion was complete chaos! Slongame la Biscia is known even in Venice!
Darren Aronofsky Pi Greco: il Teorema del Delirio

But was I the only one left a bit disappointed? For heaven's sake, I saw it a bunch of years ago, I think just when it came out on DVD or VHS, so I should refresh my memory... but it left me with a strange feeling. If it had had less going on, it would have been much more compact and less convoluted. I repeat, I'm digging into my memory from 10 years ago. I remember the series of numbers and the references to Qabbalah, which, however, remained somewhat unresolved. Anyway, screw it, I'll rent it again and watch it!
Pennywise About Time
Voto:
I hope what was written by him is not true... damned human cases. I remember the Pennywise all too well; I spent an hour at a concert insulting them with all my might and hitting their sixteen-year-old fans in Reggio in '95. However, aside from the fog of hatred I had towards the fake punks, I must say they played tightly and did a cover of Territorial Pissing by Nirvana THAT WAS INSANE!
Arbouretum Rites Of Uncovering

The new Song Of The Pearl is out/going to be released, which seems less introspective and more heavy and direct compared to this beautiful album. Fingers crossed. For those who read English, here’s a review: Dusted Reviews: Arbouretum - Song of the Pearl

I'm glad that someone knows it. I read it at university about ten years ago. Not one of my favorites on ecstatic techniques, but it drew some very modern parallels for an 80-year-old scholar! Can you imagine if he also smoked weed, that crazy guy, at that age? Anyway, it made me discover the trance rituals of Essaouira in Morocco, just to name one.
Albert Ayler Trio Spiritual Unity
Voto:
I'm in the "cautious approach to free jazz (or rather jazz in general)" phase, and this was recommended to me... in the end, I found it on red vinyl (Get Back reissue) for 15 euros and couldn't resist. I put it on at home, and it immediately caused: 1) annoyance and general nervousness for my daughter 2) curses and threats from my better half. Moral: I could barely manage to listen to side A, but I have to say it sounds great "out there." I had only heard Spirits Rejoice, but this seems less fragmented and potentially more enjoyable. I’ll revisit it after I’ve had some time to listen and digest (and considering my pace, that’ll be in a year).
John Coltrane A Love Supreme - DELUXE Edition
Voto:
In my total jazz ignorance, lately I decided to take some milestones, so in case I suck at it, I can always show them to my friends and claim passions/knowledge that I don’t have (isn't that what half of the "modern" listeners do?). And inadvertently, this has really caught me, and a lot. This record has pretty much been on the turntable for two months. It must be the reading of New Thing by Wu Ming 1, but certain things are really hitting me well.
