I've always thought that the expression "i gusti son gusti" was accommodating, and I still think so.

you're a bit wide on votes... also, the "everything Madonna touches becomes a success" should already tell you something. a quote from TRL.

Throbbing Gristle have more to do with punk than with noise. (p.s.: thank you Marcel Proust)

It is difficult to describe this type of music if compared to what is usually listened to (or what can be listened to). It is self-referential to the point of being superior to possible descriptions or exegeses. It can elegantly ignore them because it originates from a solid purpose: if music is made of theories and examples to follow, this is not. It’s like listening to a stomach. The sounds are treated in an erotic way. Each voice is masturbated until it reaches a point of no return, a total saturation. You should know this (mike76), since you own two good albums by Mr. Akita. As for me, I believe I will review a couple more of Merz’ albums. It is necessary. Anyway, ideas and personal things that I included in the review are out of discussion. They are part of my discourse, my thinking, and my feeling. I would be false or careless if I ignored certain things. All forms of artistic expression (music, cinema, photography, video art, painting, comics, etc.) are interconnected and reflect the reality, the cultural climate in which we live, or our life. There is (almost) nothing that comes from nothing. In fact, perhaps there is nothing that comes from nothing at all. For this reason, a review that does not take into account the context in which we are and live (I am a fan of Vic Sorriso) is essentially gratuitous, and I do not know how much it may help or to whom. If it were isolated, if it analyzed the album track by track and said to you "see you next time," it would be worthless.
