I was about to review this album myself. Now I know I was wrong to delay because everyone will read this. In a way, you have grasped the common thread that ties the tracks together, even if your limitations have prevented you from enjoying it. It is actually an excellent album, absolutely unique and effective. There was much more to say than "an album of sounds and rather vague and indefinite impressions," a phrase that, along with "experimentation for its own sake," referring to this work, is worthy of denunciation. I’m really sorry to have read this review. Someone might even believe you.

a review that sucks ass. poor CC.
Arcturus The Sham Mirrors
Voto:
too broad, in terms of votes and "reviews." I don’t find them that excellent. Metal has narrow boundaries that even the Arcturus respect, much to their (and my) dismay.

Power is really a genre that has nothing to do with life.

Impossible. Lost and Found is terrible. LD50 is fine, it's a nice record, but with this stuff they've gone to dig up and violate the corpse (no less) of grunge... besides the thousand other thawed and reheated things. Lost and Found. Yes, like "thawed and reheated." Imperative. Instructions for use. And there's not even room for discussion, no position that holds. It's a record that might sound "cute" at the hairdresser's. Pure MTV-hypocrisy and not even the "artistic" modesty (an ABNORMAL word after "Thawed & Reheated") to consider the problem of releasing an album like this. And you (sure! you!) who say it's even BEAUTIFUL. And that LD50 sucks. But where the hell am I?? And for heaven's sake, who says they live in the shadow of Slipknot? That's what newspapers say and what those who read newspapers think. And there’s a substantial difference between a newspaper and a (dis)interested listener, or a music lover.
