After listening to it for about a month, I decided to get it. There’s a special version with a DVD that you can buy for just 2 or 3 euros more; not that the DVD is a must-have, I assure you, but... I really like the album. I had listened to it in mp3, and as Kosmo said, you can definitely hear the difference in sound between the original and the mp3s. Whether someone cares about that or not is a different story. Just listening to the tentacular guitars (how many are there?) in Glasgow Mega Snake is enough to realize it; majestic! Overall, it’s an album that is presumably easier, more “comfortable,” but it holds up really well, even better than their recent releases for me. The piano opening in Auto Rock is stunning, as is the melody of the single Friend Of The Night. Acid Food sounds like a strange hybrid between Air and the lighter, more introspective stuff from Spacemen 3; a solid 4 is definitely deserved.
