a group that I’ve long marked in my little agenda on the "likely picks" page, at least since I heard their Transparent Radiation in the Spacemen 3 concept album "the perfect prescription."

I only know two songs by Fad Gadget, Collapsing New People and Coitus Interruptus.

What a cover. Speaking of female groups, I always hear great things about Sleater-Kinney; does anyone know what they are like?

nothing to do, man, I had prepared myself with a few cans of toluene, xylene, various additives, but when I walked in and saw all that youth, I avoided negotiating. As a trade-off, though, I brought a bottle of balsamic vinegar, not the kind from the commercials where they eat a golf course, which is just bad wine, but the thick stuff like tar. A couple of brush strokes on a cigarette and you were as high as a kite.

Moon, I’m surprised that you’re surprised; by now you should know that "troione" means "caz." The fact is, it’s irresistible. It wins you over with those French kisses that send shivers down your spine, making you applaud your own cheeks. Priceless.

But look, I've never been too keen on Britpop, or at least what was coming out of England during that time. A little something from Blur and Pulp, but without exaggerating. However, I really love this album; for me, it’s truly beautiful. I like Ashcroft's voice, and his first solo single wasn't bad either, "Song for the Lovers," if I’m not mistaken. I’m going by memory with that fantastic video, one of the few beautiful videos I've seen. I find Richard quite likable; I wonder what happened to him.

Dear Scazzy, I wanted to tell you that I went to France on vacation and enjoyed an evening at a jazz festival in a beautiful amphitheater surrounded by greenery, the Théâtre de Verdure in Ramatuelle, sitting like a proper person, even though I was surrounded by many wealthy sixty-somethings with their noses in the air. I pretty much didn't belong at all. Wayne Shorter was playing with the trio (+ him = quartet obviously :) ) Patitucci on bass, Danilo Perez on piano, and Brian Blade on drums (I name them as if I've known them forever, which sounds cool), who has already become an idol of mine, a show within the show. As an absolute novice (meaning I know nothing about jazz), I have to say it was a beautiful evening, I’m not joking. Watching musicians of that caliber on stage, the way they play their instruments, how they create a feeling among themselves, having fun as if nothing and no one else existed around them, was impressive even to my pop-ears. I searched on Debaser and saw there was a review from you and one from Raf (that Raf? you take myself, you take myself control) on Wayne Shorter, how could I prefer him to you? (If by any chance the Debaser Raf happens to read this, I was just joking, okay? :) )

Yeah, man, then we’ll go bouncing around Saturn in an Alfa 33 with Peroni cans tied to the back and the words "just married, in space."

by Tom Barman, I would buy even a jar of feces; I would be sure to have something exceptional on my hands nonetheless.
