Listened to it late last night, calmly and at a fairly high volume. I stand firm on my positions regarding the execution but significantly lower my rating of the album. Perhaps in a hypothetical qualitative hyperbole of the album, the highest points would be reached by the two instrumental pieces. This Heaven then is really a piece of shit...

Okay, I couldn't resist and bought it. Well Hal, maybe your judgment is a bit harsh; after all, the album is well-played with excellent production, arrangement, and everything else that follows. The real downside, imho, is that it sounds damn far too familiar. The first instrumental track starts, and it feels like the atmosphere of Shine; the second track begins, and it seems like you're listening to something from Dark Side, and so on. Nothing new, absolutely nothing. Positives? The very unique sound of Gil's guitars. Anyway, let's not shout masterpiece... Rating 3.5

Hal, I haven't listened to the album yet, so I can't express any opinions at this stage, but from comment to comment, I'm afraid I've fully grasped what the line of conduct will be for the CD in my stereo. The thing that eludes me: is it boring and cliché, or boring but with the right depth?
