Primiballi, I too have criticized this album in certain respects, perhaps reproaching Hal for being overly "mean" towards Dave, but his reasons are valid. I wrote my comment right after buying it and listening to it quite superficially in the car. Then I listened to it again (at least 4 times in a row) and I realized that the work remains at a fairly high level but... how can I put it... it feels like I've heard it before. And I'm not talking about innovation, no, it's just that some musical passages are too reminiscent of "what has been," you know what I mean? However, I must admit that I was very fascinated by the idea of the island, living there with the people closest to me, stagnant melodies, and a very well-made booklet. Not the cover, though. :)
