I’m running because I have to go to a client, but I’ll briefly explain the reason for my vote even though I’ve already talked a lot about it on other occasions and reviews: Dark Side (IMHO) represents the full commercial turn of Pink Floyd, the abandonment of the psych and visionary vein. It’s a “sellout” album completely geared towards sales, to Money, in fact. It’s the first of what I call the money trilogy: Dark - Wish - Animals. Not that they should be discarded, of course, but they are, as someone dared to define and I agree, chart-topping masterpieces. The turning point comes with The Wall, which makes sense. The Final Cut and the subsequent post-Waters Division clearly highlight the differences between Gil and Ferrarelle. Clear, right? - Sorry, but I’m in a hurry.
