<<<And who else do they have to convince that they are the greatest band of all time???>>> Well, I think half the world, saying they are the greatest band of all time seems a bit excessive to me. Maybe they are the greatest among those who also had commercial success, but don't go overboard like that. Okay, your nickname suggests a preference for second-rate Floyd, but try to look at things objectively. Musically, they are certainly not the best... @Pietro: just so you know, they were already warned by me, if you join in tonight we're going to keep them up all night. @Josi_: have they finally got ADSL in Polynesia? :D

Guys, can I give you a brotherly piece of advice? Avoid confrontation with easycure; he is more than capable of going on for 6285 posts in a row, without ever descending into the trivial or the legendary trick of copy-pasting myself. If you don’t believe my words, take a look at his review of the Dream, there you will find tangible proof of what I’m saying. Be careful, he will shape you, convince you, make you in his own image and likeness. Yours is a war lost from the start because he knows what he’s talking about. And he says it well. :D

After Pompeii, the Floyd fell deeper and deeper. Their trajectory was a constant decline (of course, it never truly hit rock bottom, that's normal) until The Wall, which marks a slight uptick, and The Final Cut (a decidedly solo album by Waters, but whatever) which at least makes a damn bit of sense. The last two are masterpieces from Top Of The Pops, nothing more, let alone the live shows, self-congratulatory, all similar to each other, no new ideas, no inspiration, nothing at all. I completely agree with the good easycure, whom I hadn't come across in a while.

@Ale87: well, if that's the case, the sounds of BSB, Take That, Laura Pausini, Eros Ramazzotti, U2, Blue, James Bond, Pippo, Clarabella, and Him are also sought after by producers all over the world. And so what? I mean, what's the point? What would it prove? Sought-after sounds... sought-after... But they're uniquely banal and commercial.

Untouchables? What you posted is the Top Of The Pops chart; at most, if you give a Madonna record a 1, they’ll throw paper balls at you with a Bic pen, or if you slam U2, you’ll make some kid cry in frustration, but nothing more than that. In those cases, you’ve poked someone’s taste, but you haven’t moved any boulder of objective truth. As for similar tastes, it could be, I just know that of the albums I remember being panned, none were redeemable for me; as for what you like, I won’t comment, I don’t recall your serious listening in this moment. About the link, well, I can’t remember right now; among hundreds of reviews, I’ve often talked about Pulse (CD and not). I only remember that not long ago (a month? Maybe less...) I spoke about Pulse DVD in a related review... I don't have much time now to search, dig through...
