Good Charlotte The Chronicles Of Life And Death
Voto:
Dear De-Reviewer (or at least this is what I believe to have understood) Cate_music_woman, I ask you with utmost humility and kindness: starting from the natural yet correct De Gustibus (that is, everyone enjoys what they deem fit..), how can one truly, in good faith, judge summarily [I believe you forgot the rating..] a record of such insipid proportions? Sad and flat pop'n'roll good only, indeed, for yet another commercial spot or an afternoon MTV slot... I assure you, furthermore, that there is not even a distant shadow of (real) pop/punk-rock among these grooves, unless one possesses a considerable dose of fantasy and imagination. A so-so review and no rating for the record (..for decency). Thank you for your attention. (if there has been any). A cordial homage. Your S.C. of (s)trust.
Prodigy Their Law: The Singles 1990-2005 Deluxe Edition

Dear Mr. Giubbo: clearly a nice de gustibus proemial must be stated. I respond to your kind question: (in my humble opinion) the first two highly enjoyable and intriguing discs go well beyond (qualitatively) the remaining copious discography of Prodigy; it is probably the result of the fact that I listened to "Experience" and "Jilted" at their release, but it seems to me that from that point forward (due to a lack of new insights) they have increasingly become lobotomized/banalized. Regards. Your trusted S.C.
Depeche Mode Playing The Angel
Voto:
Not bad, dear ancient Depeche Mode, not bad at all... Of course, "Speak And Spell", "Construction Time Again", or "Some Great Reward" (belonging now to a "previous life") had a much greater wave/pop-experimental substance... But if they keep releasing records like this, from the "still living/sounding" veterans of the long-gone eighties. Keep it up... (specifically, the ultra-gospel "John The Revelator" is really a great track), the veteran (musical) retirement home is still, fortunately, quite distant. Most cordial regards. Your S.C. of (dis)trust.
Paolo Conte Aguaplano
Voto:
Remarkable de-review dear Monsieur Grasshopper: "confronting" sacred monsters like the vintage Paolo Conte is not a simplistic or trivial matter. A nice De Gustibus goes to the unmentioned work: the humble ragtag transport worker (myself) is not an all-around connoisseur of the Contian oeuvre, yet that does not prevent me from appreciating Your style and undeniable quality. Kind regards. Your trusted S.C.

Warmest congratulations on your cordial de-recension, dear Mr. Francesco: dense and descriptively extremely pleasant and positive. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with either the work in question or the artist you have pointed out: I beg your pardon and will do my best to fill this irretrievable gap as soon as possible. Best regards. Yours truly.

Starting from the de gustibus/ian assumption that everyone reviews with the means at their disposal and in the eloquent style they deem most appropriate and agreeable, which I personally wouldn't share much ("who cares", in addition to being the best column of "Cuore", the Dear Mr. ..CAZ..) of the pseudo-ethical/philosophical treatise [Those who live quietly have less fun...], of the cordial De-Reviewer. I kindly ask you... about the recently represented record, what does it explain to us? A succinct four-fifths implies that there are reasons of (considerable) interest within it, hence (presumably) it deserves some further descriptive notes in the margins, don't you think? Thank you for your patience (assuming there has been any). A more than cordial greeting. p.s. I listened to the record in due time, but unfortunately I have no memory of it (in this sense, I ask you, if possible, for further arguments): bad sign.
Primus Brown Album
Voto:
From the very beginning (or rather, especially at the start), the group has been clumsily intelligent and disorienting, yet thoroughly enjoyable (meaning quite a lot). "Frizzle Fry," after half a lifetime, remains an absolute MUST: quirky, paradoxical, and fun (especially when we place them chronologically..) like few others; furthermore, the nautical digressions "in the cheese sea" were significantly appreciated. Some subsequent passages, occasionally tiresome (sadly, I would argue), have regrettably occurred, but never did they bring the margin below the "alert level": this "Brown Album," dear De-Reviewer Mister Bleak, in a dismantling opinion (thus, de gustibus..), leans (clearly) the balance needle toward the intriguing side rather than the opposite. Best regards. Your S.C. of (dis)trust.

Dear Mr. De-commentator Mr. Manikin, the humble wreck (myself) is not exactly a lover of "scrape-the-doubloon" compilations (however stuffed with remixes and whatever else), for the already deprived, poor, reviled fans.. Moreover, regarding the qualitative trajectory of the ensemble in question, I fully agree with the comment of the esteemed de-Commentator Mr. ZiOn: the first two works are decidedly remarkable and then a long (perhaps predictable) steep descent. A cordial salute. Your S.C. of (d)trust.
Lassigue Bendthaus Cloned
Voto:
Dear Kosmogabri(a), I "illuminate" (so to speak... it already shines with considerable light of its own) with a most sacred, indisputable De Gustibus: the humble veteran junkie prefers these clangorous sounds (those from the aforementioned mini l.p. are perhaps the non plus ultra Bendthuas-ian) to those "in the making" (in a chronological sense and not a broad one). Disappointed? Certainly... but that's how it is. There are also those who consider Pop Artificielle your (lassigue) best legacy... The only thing is to trust one’s own eardrums + synapses, don’t you think? Best regards. Your S.C. of (s)trust.
Filippo Gatti Tutto sta per cambiare

Unfortunately, dear De-reviewer, Mr. GiordyBoy, I am not familiar with the author in question: however, it seems (the conditional is a must) that we are faced with a small (and unknown, which makes it even more remarkable..) masterpiece. What can I say: thank you for the de-reporting. I will try to search high and low (also this.. what a struggle to keep up with all the worthy de-reviews!) for the intriguing work. Best regards. Your trusted S.C. of (dis)trust.
