The album, honestly, didn't excite me much: it seemed like a shapeless mishmash without head or tail; it might be that I didn't dedicate the proper attention and time to try to absorb it in its entirety. On the contrary, the DeRecensa is very pleasant and incisive: it almost made me want to give it another chance (the double album). In a word, for my tastes: 5. Au revoir. P.S. Why are there news broadcasts at 8:00 PM in Italy?

Bartolomeo! You must have heard of them: your state of metallitude clearly needs to be implemented, even if it’s a bit late. Personally, I have materially come across the aforementioned debut album from 1988 and, I must say, I left quite disappointed. And now, as punishment of course, go and find the first (perhaps the only) record by the Cagliari band Rod Sacred!! One of the worst albums (a mix of Scorpions/Maiden that is truly chilling) of the globalized world of metal from those years. UH!

I completely agree about the pizza... a little less so about the record. :P

Dear DeBreus, I will tell you (even though you didn’t ask): I’ve had that neo-discobolus of the Canadian timpani distorters in (heavy) rotation for a few months now.. however, frankly, I can’t really appreciate its (rather recycled) soundscapes; the plot at play is more or less always the same since "Millenium" (1994): booming guitars immersed in a substrate of more or less agricultural EBM-animosity. It might also be that, in my humble opinion, the intrinsic quality of the tracks doesn’t exactly stand out (I find a lot of unnecessary electro-tinkering: quite a bit of fluff, just to be clear) but I would have leaned towards a at least-one-lower rating. Just to name a well-known act to fans of the genre, I find last year’s return of the Albionics Nitzer Ebb more appealing. Taking my leave, over and out. Or Vuar.

Such a dish, to be honest, I wouldn’t even taste it for payment (rap, except for rare exceptions, is one of those genres that just "doesn't sit well with me"), at the same time the DeRecensa turns out to be pleasant and exquisite. Au revoir.

Witty Mr. Scalpel, are you essentially calling me the Most Human Case I fottuti casi umani No, because I would like you to know that I would fully agree halfway with you. Otherwise.

I largely agree on everything: first of all, Springsteen and Young in their intermediate phase are the (unleavened) bread of the "new course" of the Dicembrini; not particularly fond of either, I still much prefer the epic-pirate escapades of "Her Majesty" over the composed rurality of the new direction, even though it must be acknowledged that, qualitatively speaking, it is still a step forward compared to its cumbersome predecessor. What do you say, would it have been better to title it "The King Is Naked"?

By the way, the first album (of which I also own the original vinyl version, not just any old thing) remains the best produced by Drim Tiater.
