In my review, I also say "nothing new," not THAT IT DOESN'T PULL or that it's objectively UGLY.

From writing in a "scholarly and know-it-all" manner to writing "down-to-earth," there are at least 10 different nuances. The problem, perhaps, of the self-ghettoization of classical music is precisely the inability to express oneself in a normal, simple, and communicative way; instead, there's a constant search for "elevated words" or "convoluted expressions" that inevitably create their own "club" (a similar issue faced by Catechists and the Church when it came to discussing the Gospels—noble and high matters—with young people and those without a high level of education). Right or wrong, I don't know (and perhaps, rather than the strange mixtures created by Pavarotti & Friends, it would be better to avoid excessive contaminations). But this, I add, is my humblest reflection (I would never want to provoke the ire of Hal or anyone else, very prone to resentment when it comes to Classical or "Cultured" Music...).

Nice and well-balanced reception (perhaps a bit "unpersonalized," but that's how it is; one adopts the style that suits them best). I don't know the album or the band (oops!). I will make sure to check it out as soon as possible!

On DeBaser, I have the impression that classical music is poorly rated, am I wrong? A learned and sophisticated review, slightly boring but "on tone" and top of the class... I don't know this record, but I have the version by Cristina Marton on piano and that of Mario Galeani, in my opinion the best... then De Gustibus...
