If you know me well Neviskj (but I doubt it), you might have noticed that I generally care almost more about the "review format" than the content, especially when it comes to albums like Gigi D'Alessio or Lecciso, where I don't want to waste too much time discussing them in detail. Here, on these albums, I pay a bit more attention. Both albums, in general, bored me profoundly, and even if the songs weren't similar (in fact, the timing, rhythm, and chords do change), the feeling FOR ME is somewhat the same: boredom and exhaustion. Anyway, I raised the rating to 3 stars (considering the lean times)... at least this sounds good. As for whether he does everything alone or with company, personally, it means little or nothing to me: it’s the result I’m rating, not the intentions. :-))

Okay Jackstarr, since you started the morning with the biggest nonsense of the week, let’s hear it… where's the dialogue you mentioned?... Anything is possible, my friend, and I don’t rule out that it already exists (never claimed it was the most original thing I’ve ever done) but one thing is for sure: IT'S IMPOSSIBLE that it’s done like that, as it’s all from my "little bag"... I await your clarification, anonymous-gray-Jack...

What does a light-hearted skit like Gigi D'Alessio's pseudo-review have to do with the illuminating poetry review of Beethoven? They are two separate things that must necessarily be measured with different standards... surely the one about Beethoven is more heartfelt and emotional (there was some doubt), the other (assuming it can indeed be called a review by common standards) is something else entirely. I listen to both classical music and electronic music, from Murcof to Glenn Gould's Goldberg Variations, but FOR NO REASON do I feel inclined to make comparisons or rank them; I like both for different reasons. On the other hand, 80% of Metal music and Rap really annoy me, but to be honest, I don't feel like judging even that. Reality has become too fragmented and schizophrenic to afford the "luxury" of having absolute certainties like Ecsed... one can at most express an opinion and little more (Unless one is a scholar and enthusiast of a certain "branch," but even there, if we really want to, judgment is always "tainted" by a biased position... I believe).

Well... maybe I could have given it one more star... after all, it's well done... I have other "sagas" in store with the locals :-)))

Here... it seems that the matter is already up for debate...

The poetry and skill of Hal are not up for debate (in fact, I had the chance to clarify some aspects with him this morning in the private messages inbox) and I have never belittled it; perhaps this review even stands a notch above all the others. However, I don't really believe in the barriers between Art with a capital A and that with a lowercase a: is it more art to appreciate Topolino or Antonello da Messina? Andy Warhol or Canova? Is Andrea Pazienza more of an artist or Tabucchi? Are Hal's reviews “more reviews” than those of Massimof?
It’s a matter of “barriers” or pseudo-barriers... on the rest, I won’t discuss (anymore).
