Dear GodFa, I am passionate about extreme metal.
I love death and black, I love Dimmu Borgir, Cannibal Corpse, Six Feet Under, Pantera, Sodom and the like, and lately I've been intrigued by the various projects from more extreme labels like those of Aborted and Prostitute Disfigurement. So if I tell you that this album sucks, believe me it’s not about preserving morality.
Honestly, I have always been fascinated by the Count's stories, and I went to listen precisely to the album you reviewed. What I think now is that it’s all a big act, a huge pile of crap; he is famous for his madness, but for his music, I really see nothing: useless intervals, incredibly long songs that are 100% monotonous, pieces without any internal structure... if you think this deserves 5 stars, I don’t know what you’d give to the true masterpieces of metal music! But I won’t stop here; now I’m going to listen to "Det Som Engang Var" to see if anything changes.

We all know how the Inquisition transformed Freyr (Cernunnos\Dionysus\Bacchus, etc.) into "Satan." Tolkien was no better. He turned Odin into Sauron and my pagan ancestors into Uruk-Hai fighters. To me, the "dark forces" attacking Gondor are like the Vikings attacking the Christian France of Charlemagne, and the "dark forces" attacking Rohan are like the Vikings attacking Christian England. And I can add that the Vikings eventually lost their war, just like Sauron and the orcs did—but I don't care about supporting the losing side. I've always believed that what I do is right, regardless of the consequences, and I wouldn't even mind if I were fighting for a lost cause. I would rather fight for what I believe in than live for other things. - text taken from the autobiography of Burzum.

Dear wrecking crew, I’ve read all your reviews and quite a few of your comments. There's no point in telling you that you have a good ability to write and certainly to speak, but I often notice that you’re a bit narrow-minded (this is what I interpret from your writings).
Because, in my opinion, you don’t understand that music is a way of representing, taking advantage of the possibility (one of the best in human history) of freedom of expression. We can represent contexts in the form and manner we want.
Does the government get on my nerves? Fine; I’ll make some aggressive punk music that criticizes politics (see punkreas). How about: I love splatter horror movies? I’ll create some brutal, animalistic music (see Cannibal Corpse) that I like, that others like, and that a lot of remaining listeners think is garbage.
Be careful because what Calus says is the most accurate thing there is; you can’t tell me that when you watched "Dawn of the Dead" you said, "Well, look at that! There’s no respect even for the dead!". I really hope not. Have you seen The Exorcist? You didn’t say, "I detest this blasphemy!" did you?
Well, they are Norwegian, and like many they love the Vikings, so here you go: a Viking style that narrates in audio format the raids that really took place. There aren’t only roses and flowers in the world!
De Gustibus, I say in reference to your "superior" taste.
Chet Baker Chet Baker in Milan
Voto:
Well, my dear "I don’t know," not knowing who Chet Baker is is a bit like saying "I'm musically ignorant," because he is not only a great jazz musician but also an important figure in the history of human music. Do some research (maybe read my review) and avoid these gaps. As for Charley, the review is nice but a bit greedy; you hardly mention anything about the music.
Edwood Like A Movement
Voto:
I don't know this album or the band, but I was drawn to read the review because, being a fan of trash films and B-movies, I couldn't help but be intrigued by the name (perhaps intentionally?) with the one who has been deemed "the worst film director": Ed Wood.
Lacrimosa Elodia

Here it is! Finally, the review of a Lacrimosa CD. I always thought I would do it, but I never found the chance to listen to them again recently. Great band and great album, the true "maximal exponent" of melodic gothic.
Stratovarius Twilight time
Voto:
The album is decent and doesn't represent a high level of the "Stratovarius" concept. Let's say that for 7 euros it's perfectly purchasable and enjoyable, even though their best album for me remains "Vision."

Alice Cooper Pretties For You
Voto:
The only Alice Cooper album I know is "Welcome to my nightmare," which is a stunning piece of work. Being a fan of B-movies (or even better, genuine trash films), I also appreciate his leading role in the movie "Monster Dog - il signore dei cani." The review is well written; I will also look for this album.
