Greatly written review! And the first three albums by Suede are unforgettable...

"If you’re a guitarist, of course your dream is to play the guitar. And if you’re told that your guitar in the new album will be reduced to a purely decorative element, you’d get pissed off. And you might even leave the band. I disagree with the introduction. In my opinion, you could have spared us that because the idea of a guitarist wanting to play the guitar seems like a given, and also because I don't think Graham left Blur because he didn’t have space for the guitar... but for the rest, the review is excellent! I agree with your descriptions and how you describe the album and the songs. Well done, Grant!"

@ Psychopompe . Well, the Red Crayola aren't all over the album. I was referring to certain points in some songs, really brief moments, where it almost seems like we're in some "free-form-freak-out" (and here you’ll understand me). As for the "gratuitous artistic ambitions," well, in my opinion, the Clap definitely have them!!! In all this crap that's been coming out lately, they stand out, for sure!!! And I think its charm definitely lies in the fact that it’s an album that has no head or tail. Anyway, as you can see, my rating is a 4 out of 5. The album is great but far from being a 5-star masterpiece! Listen to it again multiple times, and you’ll see that you might change your mind.

@ Kid_A: my favorite band is Radiohead, so I think we can agree on that ;) However, we won't agree on the fact that you compare "Menomena" and "Of Montreal" with CYHSY. Thanks to you, I've learned about these bands and got a little something. Definitely better (at least for me) are the Menomena! But I don't see why Clap Your Hands should be overshadowed by these releases. I don't want to question who the best are, but musically, what do they have in common? I mean, they seem very different to me! Bye.

Good to know. I don't know if I'll buy it when it comes out. I got the first one too when no one knew about these ones. Well, it's a masterpiece. But I don't listen to it very often, to be honest. I don't know if I'll resist downloading it or if I'll wait for it to be released, hmm!

I can't honestly tell you what the single from this album is; I knew for a while it was coming out, and I went straight to the store to buy this. I can only say that "Underwater" could be a potential single.
I'm glad you liked my review of GB&Q and that you enjoyed this one as well...
p.s. I kind of like Feeder too ;) bye
