Eros Ramazzotti In ogni senso
Voto:
Well, for the genre he proposes, namely "love songs to sing in the shower or to take to Sanremo," Ramazzotti did just fine. If you think about the abominable sentimental singers that were around before him in the eighties (Cristian, Sorrenti, Al Bano), he stands out quite nicely. For this reason, I hope you won't lynch me if I give this album a 1 and a half instead of a straight 1. Unfortunately, though, I can't do half votes, so I round it down to 1, sorry.

The curiosity you've sparked in me is quite strong. I must have heard about this album in a magazine a few years ago, and it was said to be very good. Is it possible to hear some samples?
Depeche Mode Playing The Angel

Good job on your review Giordyboy, even if you get a bit lost in unnecessary justifications in the preamble. You are right to describe Gore's two interpretations as overly lyrical, and you do well to briefly describe the other songs. All in all, yours is, to date, the best review of this album.

For me too, "Nothing's Impossible" is one of the most beautiful songs on the album. Gahan has truly outdone himself with the three tracks he wrote, and one might lament that he has only now been given the chance to be recognized as a songwriter. I would say that in this album, Gahan as a songwriter is worth more than Gore as a singer; in the past, Martin has gifted us with gems (for instance, "Comatose" was one of the best tracks on Exiter), but in the two songs he sings here, he’s a bit too fussy and irritating. Anyway, it's one of the best albums by Depeche. The review isn't anything spectacular, but along with Giordyboy's, it's the only one worth reading.
Jay-Z and Linkin Park Collision Course

"Guys, but do we want to understand that today there are only little groups? Bands like the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Who, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple – WE CAN ONLY DREAM OF THEM!!! Do you agree?" For me too, the answer is "no," and I agree with CoolOras, good BeatBoy. Great bands existed once, and they still exist even if few listen to them now. There are awful bands (like Linkin) and there were also bad ones in the past, but fortunately, time has done justice, and mostly they have been forgotten. Then it’s a matter of taste; I, for example, much prefer an album by Hoahio or Oneida rather than Deep Purple or EL&P.

If you were referring to me Senzavita, you made a big mistake because I have never judged the album but, precisely, only the singles I have had the chance to listen to.
The Cure The Top
Voto:
More than a psychedelic record, it's an ethyl one. Disorienting and amusing at the same time, but not a masterpiece, even though "The Caterpillar" is one of the most beautiful songs by the Cure. Rating: 3.5.

I share the opinion of those who describe this album as a mix of highs and lows. A few fewer songs might have benefited the overall experience, but it's still a good effort. Rating: 3.5
The Cure Disintegration

For me, this is one of the two masterpieces by The Cure (the other is Faith). I have a soft spot for The Cure's more atmospheric sound.
